CSAP's Guide to Science-based Practices Links to:

Prevention Best Practices from the Western Regional Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies (CAPT) Guiding Principles, definitions of best and promising practices, and links to a large number of model prevention programs and best practices organized by risk factor, domain, ethnicity, age, and CSAP strategy.

Comprehensive Service Delivery Program for Children at Risk A program model called "Children at Risk" (CAR) was designed, directed, and evaluated by the Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University (CASA). This paper describes the progam and also describes the types of technical assistance and support CASA can provide to new communities interested in implementing a program patterned after CAR.

CASASTART-Striving Together to Achieve Rewarding Tomorrows A neighborhood-based, school-centered program aimed at preventing substance abuse and delinquency among high-risk adolescents ages 8 to 13, and at reducing drug-related crime in their neighborhoods.

HIV/AIDS

CMHS Program Spotlight - HIV/AIDS addresses the mental health needs of people living with HIV/AIDS.

The NIMH Center for Mental Health Research on AIDS (CMHRA) supports research on the effects of HIV on the central nervous system and on developing effective HIV prevention and risk reduction interventions.

The Division of AIDS and Health and Behavior Research (DAHBR) supports research and research training to use a public health model to reduce the burden of mental illness from medical comorbidities, non-adherence to treatment, societal stigma, health disparities, and unhealthy behaviors.
